For the past week, I’ve been testing on volume blogging on my gadget review blog and I was really satisfied with the result. The daily visits went up from 30 visits to 70 visits, which 75% of it was organic traffic. Basically what I did was by simply increasing my posting frequency — I usually post every 2-3 days — to almost daily post.
The main obstacle for posting to my gadget review blog was mainly on content research. Since I don’t have the luxury as CNET to personally test the gadget reviewed, I mainly rely on other gadget blog to research on the content. However, recently the task proved to be too tedious. My co-partner, Zidni, lost interest in updating the gadget review blog and decided to do paid review tasks instead. We usually took turns on updating it since this was originally a joint blog. Zidni was even the one who came out with the idea.
However, this incident didn’t reduce the blog’s posting frequency. In fact, I managed to find a way to crank up even more content for it!. 2 few weeks ago, while browsing for article writing tips, I found a post on an amazing tools. The tool was intended for accelerating article research thus making article writing even faster.
Basically what I did was, I entered my long tail keyword (which was obviously brand name & product number) with the prefix “the”, eg. if I wanted to research on Dell Vostro 1310, I’d enter the dell vostro 1310, in the tool. Voila, instant result :). After doing the article research and minor re-write here and there, i’ve got myself a good written article.
